01/2008-GIS Landmark, LLC. creates custom program to convert AutoCAD drawing files over to shape files for importation into NISC/IVUE staking & Mapview applications. These same shape files can be used with ESRI software. This custom program can be used in two different ways. One, it can be used as a one time conversion from AutoCAD to ESRI. Secondly, it can be used where a company uses AutoCAD as their GIS updating software and then have the need to update NISC/IVUE staking & Mapview applications on a scheduled basis.

08/2007-GIS Landmark, LLC. lands contract with Embarq/Sprint to conduct a joint use audit. Using a Ricoh GPS digital camera we are able to shoot a photo and have additional attributes collected and linked to this photo including the spatial coordinates for each photo. These same photos import into ArcMap as a shape file showing the photo as you hover over the point along with the attributes collected for that particular point.

07/2007-GIS Landmark, LLC. lands contract with The Energy Cooperative to conduct a joint use audit. Using a Ricoh GPS digital camera we are able to shoot a digital photo and have additional attributes collected and linked to this photo including the spatial coordinates. These same photos import into ArcMap as a shape file showing the photo as you hover over the point along with the attributes collected for that particular point.

02/2007-GIS Landmark, LLC. lands contract with The City of Bowling Green, Ohio to GPS facilities and create a GIS. Using Trimble's GeoXH with Zephyr antenna, GPScorrect and ESRI's ArcPad software we are able to supply sub-foot accuracy on all the facilities collected in the field. After field collection we then import the facility data into the geodatabase to be viewed and edited using ESRI software.

01/2007-GIS Landmark, LLC. works with Golftech, Inc. to develop survey accurate layouts of Golf Courses in the US. The map layouts include all irrigation, drainage, fairways, tee boxes, greens, Hazards, cart paths and many other features that help the golf courses track and maintain their investment. These digital maps can also be used with the GPS systems on the golf carts to give accurate distances from tee to green.

11/1/2006-Licking Rural Electrification (LRE) used GIS Landmark to perform a system audit of Joint Use attachments of a particular Cable TV provider. LRE needed to maximize the database updates and yet minimize the costs to the company. The results were a survey accuracy of 100% with an attachment quantity increase of 22%. The increase in the attachment count alone allowed LRE to realize nearly a 100% return on investment in just the first year.

I have worked with other providers of similar services and GIS Landmark is my first choice and my recommendation." -- Jeff Hauck (Joint Use Coordinator)

10/1/2006-GIS Landmark, LLC. provides On-Site map updates for several Cooperatives in Ohio including FEMA work.

09/2006-GIS Landmark, LLC. creates sub-meter accurate landbase with aerial photography and migrates existing facilities from old maps to new. See example below.

08/2006-GIS Landmark, LLC. provides sub-foot accuracy GPS services for utility companies. Using a handheld GPS unit along with an external antenna and post processing we are able to aquire sub-foot accuracy for facility location. The most common accuracy standard is sub-meter.

01/2006-GIS Landmark, LLC. becomes a reseller for LizardTech, Inc. LizardTech, a Celartem company, is a worldwide leader in software solutions that make it significantly easier to manage, distribute, and access digital content such as aerial photography, satellite imagery and scanned color documents. Built on innovative MrSID technology that dramatically reduces file size and preserves image quality, GeoExpress includes a robust toolset making it easier to manage imagery with functionality such as cropping, resampling images on the 'fly' and creating mosaics of imagery with differing resolutions into one file for seamless viewing. GeoExpress is compatible with all common raster image formats, including TIFF, GeoTIFF and ERDAS Imagine so you can make the most of your existing image data and dramatically improve your workflow.

11/2005-GIS Landmark, LLC. provides GPS field inventory services to utility companies worldwide. Using a GPS sub-meter hand held unit our highly trained field technicians collect GPS data and attributes using ArcPad from ESRI for the utility mapping projects. Using ArcPad and custom tools built for ArcPad this allows us to create the system model and databases on the fly while in the field rather than back in the office. After the field collection stage is complete the only steps left are the clean-up and quality control stages. ArcPad also allows for the GPS field data to be imported into all GIS/utility mapping software platforms with very little effort. We also specialize in building custom forms for GPS data collection in ArcPad for utility mapping. This allows for easy and fast data collection for the companies individual needs to complete the utility mapping project.

10/2005-GIS Landmark, LLC. provides utility companies with magnetic dry erase wall maps. These wall maps are used for outage management, project planning and line crew tracking. The typical wall map is 8' x 8' but can be printed at any size. These maps are printed in small grid sections and then pieced together seamlessly on a magnetic dry erase wall board. This makes it very easy to replace a section of the wall map that has been updated with system changes. We also provide these type of maps and drawing prints for placement in substation control buildings and cabinets. Examples are shown below.
